Its been a while since I posted a Yoga blog and Im absolutely loving Yin Yoga at the moment.
Yin Yoga has so many benefits. These benefits include improving flexibility, releasing fascia and improving joint mobility. Yin Yoga also activates our parasympathetic system which means it reduces our stress and anxiety levels, reduces blood pressure, improves sleep and boosts our immune system.
Yin Yoga is suitable for everyone, with modifications and props available to assist individuals to find the pose. Props include blocks, bolster cushions and even the wall. Here is a short video of Yin Yoga using the wall.
I personally love Yin yoga as it encourages me to slow down and focus rather than doing everything at a hundred miles an hour. My body feels so much more moveable afterwards and it definitely helps my running.
